      virtacompress

      This command compresses a container so that it can be safely moved to the destination server. The compressed file is called "container_name.cap". Administrator privileges are required.

      Note:

      • If you compress a container that is still tethered, the compression process will disable tethering and credentials used to connect to the source machine will not be kept. You will have to re-enable tethering and specify credentials once again, as required, in the Administrative Console.

      Syntax

      virtacompress /S VAA [target_location]

      Options

      Option

      Description

      VAA

      Full path of the container.

      target_location

      Full path of the folder on the destination server for the compressed container.

      /S

      Silent. Do not print text.
