      virtacrypt

      This command encrypts passwords to avoid storing passwords in plain text when running application discovery (PACE). See virtapacePreview. The encrypted passwords can be supplied to virtapace in the server credential list file, used at all steps, or in the service credential files generated by /C and used by /T. You can encrypt any number of passwords, as required.

      Syntax

      virtacrypt /P
      virtacrypt "input"

      Options

      Prompts for and hides the input.

      input

      The string to encrypt.

      Sample Usage

      Using /P:

      Using "input":

      Copy the string returned by VirtaMove. In the server credential list file and/or in the ServerCredentials.csv file, replace the password with this string as appropriate.
